The recommended time frame is - 1 week for preparation 2 weeks of marketing 1 week for buyer consideration Expressions of interest close Offers are submitted throughout the process
If the business has not sold as an expression of interest during this period it is unlikely that it will sell at all.
Our process -
You will need to sign an appointment to act on an exclusive basis for 6 weeks We will send a business preparation and marketing invoice We will send a questionnaire or we can attend the business to complete the information memorandum We will write the information memorandum including your disclaimers We will write, place and manage all marketing activities We will contact our database of buyers We will contact our conjuncting business brokers We will send out confidentiality agreements to all interested parties We will monitor and follow up on all buyers We will submit all offers to the nominated person We can prepare the contract (for Queensland) or gather all relevant information for the solicitors We will manage the contract process Settlement occurs
Our fees -
Business preparation fee depends on how involved we are with the information memorandum - As a guide, if we provide the template and the owners/you complete the questionnaire - $500 plus GST
If we visit the business and write
the IM - up to $1,500 plus GST depending on location.
Traveling cost may be additional
Marketing fees which include internet marketing, database marketing and newspaper advertising - Internet marketing including pay per click campaign
plus ads on several business for sale web sites - $250 plus GST
Database marketing - free of charge
Conjuncting business brokers - free of charge
Newspaper advertising depends on the size of the ad and publication used
We have a minimum fee $5,000 plus GST or
a negotiated % based commission, payable on settlement of a contract or franchise agreement whichever is greater
